2023 Calm the Franc Down!

We invite you to relax, unwind, and add some calmness to your day with our 2023 vintage of Calm the FRANC Down!

Tasting Notes: This vintage of Calm the Franc Down is ready to be your new go-to approachable, crowd-pleasing, and easy-drinking wine! After 12 months of aging in mostly neutral French oak barrels, on the nose you’ll discover aromas of plum, dark cherry, and stewed strawberries clearly announcing a high percentage of Cabernet Franc. The palate delivers a well-layered and fruity profile with soft tannins, and a rich  full-bodied palate, alongside a surprisingly long extra-dry finish. Dominant flavours of dark plum, dark cherry,  red plum and strawberry compote, followed with a hint of vanilla bean, finishing with a velvety and smooth mouthfeel that is supported by a small percentage of our Malbec and Merlot.

As in other vintages, don’t let the fun name fool you: this is a serious wine from the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation…or as we refer to it: Cabernet Country!
