2023 Viognier

Tasting Notes:

Bella Terra’s new Viognier offers ripe and creamy textures that effortlessly intertwine with a vibrant freshness. Harvested from a very small parcel on our home vineyard, this rare varietal in Niagara continues to deliver a unique addition to our portfolio. We strive to preserve the exciting characteristics of this wine while adding texture by using only acacia wood barrels in its 18 month aging process. Acacia lifts Viognier's aromas without masking them. 

This vintage is a touch lighter than its predecessor, striking a perfect balance with its refined alcohol level. On the nose, indulge in a bouquet of apricot and chamomile complemented by delicate hints of honeycomb. The palate reveals a luxurious tapestry of honeydew melon, succulent apricot, and banana candy. Richly texture and elegantly balanced, and a long mineral finish, this Niagara-on-the-Lake Viognier promises a beautiful evolution over the next four to six years.
